I Die Daily

"I Die Daily" 1 Corinthians 15:31. What does that mean? Dying daily means to die from earth, and this materialistic world. To Die daily is to carry our cross daily and follow Jesus. Dying daily means taking the decision daily to follow Christ through the suffering for through this suffering that we shall inherit the kingdom of God. Why should we Die Daily? We should die daily as we should live for Christ. We often think of our journey with God as this smooth path, laid with flowers leading to heaven. God himself said "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me and for the gospel will save it." Mark 8:34-35 (NIV) . Why the Cross? now to us the cross is a friendly symbol that symbolizes love and salvation. But in the first century the cross meant death, shame, humiliation and torture. And that is what we should go through in order to live joyfully forever in the presence of God. Yet lovingly, God is with us, through the whole way he will always be with us to support us and guide us, for he said "I will never leave you, nor forsake you" Hebrews 13:5
